|March Cover, ADC|
What better way to launch our March issue than with a fantastic Japanese Doll announcing an article on evaluating Japanese dolls by THE authority on the subject, our friend, Allan Scot Pate! Our cover article will address assessing Ichimatsu dolls of Japan.
In keeping with the theme of Japanese Dolls and The Hina Matsuri or Doll Festival, our collectibles column will also feature Japanese dolls of all kinds.
Along with our usual parade of auctions, doll shows, calendar, and dealer showcase, we will talk about amazing miniature rooms from the Museum of Childhood. IN case any one has missed the PBS series, Victoria, catch an episode now and then. HRH periodically appears holding a doll, a nod to her own famous collection. The dolls in these rooms remind one of hers.
If you love Hula, dance, and carnivals, you will adore Sharon Hope Weintraub's article on 1920's carnival dolls. Those who love French fashion dolls and their wardrobes will enjoy Laurie Baker's article.
Lsst, but not least, my little doll collecting chickadees, don't miss Gail Lemmon's, "W.C. Fields, The Man and the Doll!"
May March come in like a lamb for all of you, and as always, think out side the doll house and Happy Collecting!!
